Why are these oils so important for Allergies and Respiratory Problems?

When we are studying how to use oils therapeutically it is important to consider the essential oil chemistry. The oils are made up of hundreds of natural chemical components. These components are part of the essential therapeutic action.

The most important compound in both of these oils is a compound called 1,8 Cineole

Globulus can contain 36%-83%
Radiata can contain 22%-74%
1,8 Cineole is a remarkable chemical component of long-standing offering strong therapeutic properties and has been well researched for its strong healing potential
So it is important to know what scientific techniques are used by the company you purchase from.
Gas Chromatography (GC) is a method of separating the volatile compounds in Essential Oils into individual compounds.

Mass Spectrometry (MS) identifies the compounds and their percentages.

GC/MS testing.

So how do I choose which oil to use?

Both oils are good but the main difference comes down to the AROMA.
Radiata packs a softer punch, sweeter and fruity, with a hint of citrus.
Globulus reminds me of Vick Vapour rub that my mother used to use on my chest. Quite a strong woody smell.

Safety Considerations
Always use with caution.
Excellent in a diffuser.
Always dilute when used topically.
These oils should not be diffused near the face of young children under 10 years.
With children under 3 years Cedarwood is a better option.
These oils can be toxic if taken internally.

Use these oils during the cold and flu season to help reduce pain, mucus, headaches. They help reduce swelling ( sinus infection, muscle spasm, spat cough.)
Globulus has been shown to help reduce the effects of chronic bronchitis.

So check out your GCMS levels.
