How Essential Oils Changed my Skin Care Regime.Natural Facial Skin Care Recipes

How Essential Oils Changed my
Skin Routine.

Hello again! Now the searing heat of summer has gone and the slightly cooler autumn days and evening are with us I thought I would share some of my all natural facial lotions and potions that I make using essential oils.
Cold weather can bring misery with it especially as we age.
It is so easy to develop dry or cracked skin,
Learn to give your skin the love and nourishment craving by using natural skin care with Baobab oil.

DRY SKIN SALVE USING BAOBAB OIL

This simple but powerful dry skin recipe contains a blend of natural ingredients that not only relieve dry cracked skin, but also contains an energising blend of orange and ginger oils to soothe minor aches and pains.

A QUICK NOTE ABOUT OIL: BAOBAB

I chose to include this oil in my natural dry skin salve recipe for several reasons. Not only is this versatile African carrier oil famed for its emollient and moisturising skin care properties, but it’s also absorbed quickly by skin so there is no greasy after feel. Additionally, the presence of Omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids give baobab oil some beneficial anti-inflammatory properties and help to promote soft healthy skin.
INGREDIENTS:

1 oz.  Baobab
.
5 oz. Shea nut oil
.5 oz.
  Beeswax
drops 5-fold orange essential oil
6 drops fresh ginger essential oil
1-2 drops
vitamin E oil, optional

INSTRUCTIONS:
STEP #1:
Weigh out the beeswax, Shea nut oil and Baobab oil.
Combine in a double boiler or microwave in a Pyrex style bowl.
Gently heat untill of the beeswax has melted. ( Don’t use full heat.)
STEP #2:
Remove from heat then, using a dropper add the vitamin E oil along with the orange and ginger essential oils.
Stir well to combine, then pour into a 2 oz. amber or cobalt jar.
Once the salve hardens it’s ready to use.
Simply apply to hands, feet and other areas of dry skin on your body.
You can also apply this salve to chapped lips.

Using the best essential oils for lips allows your body to make the most of the way your lips look, feel, and even taste.

Best Essential Oil for Lip Balm
I choose Peppermint oil s it is one of the best oils for lips because of its cooling and soothing properties.

It promotes healing, helps with fresh breath and helps fight against cold sores.

Peppermint oil also works to increase circulation. It may even make your lips look a little plumper and luscious.!!!!

Frankincense Wrinkle-reducing Face cream

Organic coconut Oil
8-10 drops

Drop in and stir Frankincense and Lavender essential oils.

Start here: Wait for mix to partially solidify (you can even put it in the freezer for up to 20 minutes to speed the process).

DIY After Shave/Oil for Dry Skin

This oil mix is great for dry skin to help repair the skin, or used instead of aftershave.

 8-10 Drops Frankincense Essential Oil
8-10 Drops Bergamot Essential Oil
4 ml Jojoba Oil

You will need: an empty 5ml oil bottle.
Add first 8-10 drops of each Frankincense and Bergamot into an empty 5ml essential oil bottle.
Then fill up with Jojoba oil.

Use daily, after shaving or instead of moisturising lotion.
This mix is great especially in the mornings for the oil's uplifting properties.
Bergamot has the fresh , sweet, citrus scent that is familiar to many as the flavouring in Earl Grey Tea.
 It is uplifting and relaxing.
Good for building confidence and enhancing your mood.

Tip: you can reuse an empty bottle of Frankincense or Bergamot or other empty essential oils bottle that will mix well with these two oils.

As you will see once you have purchased your basic carrier oils they are used for many natural potions and lotions for skin careand are quick and easy to produce. It makes them economical to produce and of course they are chemical free.

Enjoy experimenting and do let me know your favourite recipes.
Help make this a chemical free world.

Ingredients
1/4 cup Shea Butter
1/4 cup
Organic coconut Oil
8-10 drops
Frankincense Essential Oil
5-7 drops
Lavender Essential Oil

Using a double boiler, melt shea butter and coconut oil together until liquid. Remove from heat and let cool for about 30 minutes.
Drop in and stir Frankincense and Lavender essential oils.

Start here: Wait for mix to partially solidify (you can even put it in the freezer for up to 20 minutes to speed the process). Then whip with your hand mixer until you achieve a butter-like consistency.

Store in a 4 oz mason style . This should keep for 6-12 months in your bathroom cupboard.
You could also add in Vitamin E oil

DIY After Shave/Oil for Dry Skin

This oil mix is great for dry skin to repair the skin, or used instead of aftershave. Shaving or instead of moisturising lotion.

Drops Frankincense Essential Oil
8-10 Drops Bergamot Essential Oil
4 ml Jojoba Oil
You will need: an empty 5ml oil bottle.
Add first 8-10 drops of each Frankincense and Bergamot into an empty 5ml essential oil bottle. Then fill up with Jojoba oil. Use daily, after

shaving or instead of moisturising lotion. This mix is great especially in the mornings for the oil's uplifting properties.
Bergamot has the fresh , sweet, citrus scent that is familiar to many as the falvouring in Earl Grey Tea. It is uplifting and relaxing. Good for building confidence and enhancing your mood.

Tip: you can reuse an empty bottle of Frankincense or Bergamot or other empty essential oils bottle that will mix well with these two oils.

As you will see once you have purchased your basic carrier oils they are used for many natural potions and lotions and are quick and easy to produce. It makes them economical to produce and of course they are chemical free.
