The Seven Primary Chakras and Essential Oils.
There
are 100’s of chakras but we mainly know and use seven.
The
word chakra means ‘wheel’ in Sanskrit, a sacred holy language of
Hinduism and Buddhism. Chakra is pronounced shock+ra
.
The
first writings about chakras are dated around 1000B.C. and their
origins are based strongly within Hinduism. However, the idea of
chakras and energy centres is fundamental to Ayurvedic concepts or
prana
and
Chinese
qi.
Sometimes
referred to as energy centres. Each chakra is thought to resemble a
coloured wheel that spins in a clockwise direction, and the chakras
are thought to spin at different frequencies.
They
are invisible to the naked eye and interconnect our physical and
spiritual selves. Each chakra connects to a different part of the
body.
It
is believed that each of the chakras absorbs and filters the energy
that we emit through our thoughts and actions as well as all the
thoughts and actions of those we come into contact with. When a
chakra is out of balance it can affect that physical region of the
body.
Blocked
energy in our seven chakras can often lead to illness, so it’s
important to understand what each chakra represents

Oils are very concentrated with active components and can cause
irritation.
