Essential Oils help relieve Seasonal Allergy Symptoms

The Allergy Season is Upon Us
What makes late Winter or early Spring so wonderful for many people can lead to total misery tor those who suffer from seasonal allergies. Fresh cut grass, blossoming trees. Flowering weeds – all release pollen.
Whether your allergies are caused by airborne pollen, food sensitivity, toxins from the environment, the reaction is a histamine response which often causes inflammation.
Seasonal allergies are no fun. Thankfully, you can use essential oils as a natural helper. The constant sneezing, sniffing and wheezing is enough to wear you down. Essential oils have benefits that can reduce inflammation, alleviate your symptoms and support your immune system against the environment.
Let’s take a look at ways to reduce your response to allergens by removing them from your home. Products like cleaning sprays, hand cleaners and linen sprays. Essential oils can reduce the toxins in a cleaning product, which can cause inflammation. Consider minimizing airborne toxins by changing the type of household products you use. Cleaning products can cause major aggravation for allergies especially ASTHMA.

Second, let’s look at the symptoms; congestions, watery eyes, sneezing. These can be eliminated by using essential oils.

  • Use a diffuser around the home. Especially in the bedroom at night.
  • Make your own personal inhaler. These can be purchased from Amazon.
  • Steam inhalers.
Pour some essential oils into a basin with hot water. Place your head over the steaming water and place a towel on your head. Inhale for several minutes. This is great if you are feeling very congested. Eucalyptus and Fir oils are great.
