Feeling too Warm?
A cooling Aromatherapy Blend for those Hot Days
Geranium plants like to grow in many countries and regions, but many varieties tend to avoid areas that get too hot and humid.
Geranium likes to stay cool. . . Peppermint is the best friend to Geranium oil. ( Geranium plants grow well in Spain.)
Peppermint is always happy to help its friends feel refreshed. Now anytime you feel overheated use this Geranium and Peppermint spray spritz on the face, neck, and chest to rebalance your temperature and “chill out.”
They’re both great for calming inflammation and clearing excess heat.
This cooling blend doesn’t contain essential oils, just hydrosols so you can spritz it freely on your face.
Geranium Mint Hydrosol Spritz
-
1 oz (30 ml) Rose Geranium hydrosol (Pelargonium capitatum)
Make this blend in a 2 oz (60 ml) clear glass bottle.
This can be stored in the fridge.
So, what are HYDROSOLS?
If you’re not familiar with hydrosols, they’re created during the process of distilling a plant. When the plant is distilled with hot water and steam, it releases its essential oil . . . but the water itself becomes infused with the plant’s water soluble components. So at the end of distillation, we have the essential oil and the water portion of the distillate—the hydrosol!
Hydrosols are much gentler than essential oils and don’t come with the same safety considerations. We can use them freely on our skin without dilution, even on our faces.
